ISP: 1 dead after fiery semi, car crash

INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana State Police officers are investigating a fiery crash that occurred Sunday morning, leaving a person dead.

According to ISP, the crash occurred around 7:42 a.m., between E 30th St and E 38th St. More specifically, ISP said a car collided with a semi truck on 465 northbound near the 42.9 mile marker.

The crash resulted in a vehicle fire. The four right lanes headed northbound are currently closed, per ISP.

An update was not provided on how the crash occurred, nor when the lanes are set to reopen.
