Two local marching bands headed to state championship in upcoming weeks

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Two local high school marching bands are headed to the state championship in Indianapolis.

Terre Haute South High School’s Pride of the South marching band punched their ticket to the state championship after earning a gold rating with distinction in music over the weekend.

Terre Haute North Patriot Brigade also earned the opportunity to compete at the state championship in the upcoming weeks.

The upcoming state championship will be on Saturday, October 19th at Franklin Central High School in Indianapolis.
