INDIANAPOLIS — In one week, Indianapolis will become Taylor Swift central.
Lucas Oil Stadium will host the last three United States shows on Swift’s legendary “The Eras Tour” from Nov. 1-3. The three sold-out shows will start at 7 p.m. each night.
However, Indianapolis as a whole, or “Swift City,” as Visit Indy calls it, will be impacted by the tour. More than 200,000 people are expected to come to Central Indiana for the shows.
Officials said that 89% of tickets for the three shows were purchased from individuals outside of the Indianapolis area and 81% from individuals outside the state.
Here are some of the things you need to know going into next weekend.
Events
According to a news release from Visit Indy, more than 50 events are scheduled for that weekend, in addition to Swift’s shows, including events at SPARK on the Circle, the Bicentennial Unity Plaza and the Lugar Plaza.
Food trucks will also be open for individuals downtown from 12-8 p.m. on Nov. 1-3 on Maryland Street, adjacent to the Hudnut Commons and in the southwest quadrant of Monument Circle.
