In a move to quell the surge of reckless driving and street takeovers known as “spinning,” the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, alongside the Indiana State Police, conducted a crackdown over the recent weekend that resulted in more than 10 arrests. WISH-TV reported that those detained were partaking in activities deemed dangerous, risking both their own and others’ safety, leading to the seizure of narcotics such as cocaine and marijuana, and the impounding of several cars in line with a new city ordinance.
