“The safety of our youth should be the top priority for every parent. We are proud to have secured justice for this young victim, and we hope this opens the door for more conversations about what adults in our community can do to keep our children safe and healthy inside the home.”

Officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were dispatched on Aug. 22, 2020, to an apartment at the 6000 block of Newberry Road on a report of an unresponsive three-year-old. Upon arrival, the child was taken to Riley Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
