Indiana’s marching band state finals are Saturday. Here are the local schools competing.

The Indiana State School Music Association’s marching band state finals take place Saturday at Lucas Oil Stadium, and eight schools from Southwestern Indiana will be competing.

A ninth school, Heritage Hills is performing, as well, as part of the “scholastic class exhibition” schedule.

Gates will open at 8 a.m. Central, and the Scholastic Champion Exhibition performances will begin at 8:25 a.m. Central with Heritage Hills.

This year, the competition falls on the same weekend as Indianapolis’ annual Monumental Marathon, so some roads downtown may be closed.

Here’s when local schools will perform in competition on Saturday. Bands are divided by school enrollment size, with the biggest schools in Class A and the smallest in Class D, with those in between in classes B and C.

All times are Central. The full schedule for all schools can be found here.

Class D

  • Mater Dei – 9:30 a.m.
  • Forest Park – 9:45 a.m.

Class B

  • Jasper – 12:20 p.m.
  • Evansville North – 12:35 p.m.
  • Reitz – 1:35 p.m.
