Indiana Mom Sentenced To 65 Years For Starvation Death Of Infant Son

An Indiana mother who admitted to sometimes forgetting to feed her infant son has been sentenced to 65 years in prison for his starvation death. Caylin Monroe, 23, was convicted last month of murder and neglect of a dependent resulting in death. The charges stemmed from the February 2022 death of her 3-month-old son, Silas Chance-Kent Scott.
