IMPD: SWAT team called to northeast Indianapolis neighborhood; Person of interest detained

INDIANAPOLIS — A special weapons and tactics (SWAT) team helped the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department detain a person of interest on the northeast side of the Circle City on Saturday afternoon.

Public police reporting systems indicate IMPD officers were called to the 4400 block of Rhapsody Lane around 3:56 p.m. to investigate an alleged domestic disturbance. IMPD indicated that a SWAT team was called to the scene as officers continued their investigation.

In an update sent at approximately 6:15 p.m., IMPD confirmed a person of interest had been detained. Police also indicated that their investigation in the area is still ongoing.
