Hospitals welcome first new babies of 2025

INDIANAPOLIS –Area hospitals welcomed their first newborns of the New Year.

Lainey Goetz came into the world at 2:27 a.m. at Community Hospital North. She’s the first baby for parents Bethany and Robert Goetz of Indianapolis, according to Community Health Network.

Lainey weighed 7 pounds, 2 ounces and was 20 inches long. Her parents received a congratulatory gift basket.

Just eleven minutes later, Hudson Dobbs was born at Community Hospital East.

He weighed 6 pounds, 10.7 ounces and was 19.5 inches long. He’s the second boy for parents Amanda and Justin Dobbs of Indianapolis. His mom is a nurse at the hospital.

Community Hospital North has maintained its nine-year streak of delivering the most babies in the state.

Franciscan Health Indianapolis welcomed its first new baby of the year at 9:06 a.m. Wednesday.
