INDIANAPOLIS — The defense has rested without calling a single witness or offering any evidence in the trial for a murder outside an Indianapolis day care on Sept. 16, 2022.
Krystal Walton had just dropped off her then-1-year-old son when she was shot and killed outside the Charity Child Care at 10th Street and Holmes Avenue on the near west side of Indianapolis. The alleged shooter, Orlando Mitchell, is the child’s father.
