IMPD police chase ends with crash at Carmel roundabout
CARMEL, Ind. (WISH) — A Friday night police chase that reached speeds from 80 to 90 mph ended when an SUV crashed into a light pole while navigating a roundabout in Carmel.
Capt. Rob Rider with Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said one of its officers was getting gas at a station at West 86th Street and Ditch Road when he recognized a man who was wanted for a Level 4 felony. An entry on the computer-aided dispatch system shows the investigation was initiated shortly after 7:50 p.m. Friday.
