IMPD officer shoots dog after being attacked on Indy’s south side

INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD and Indianapolis Animal Care Services are investigating after a dog was shot after it reportedly attacked an officer Saturday afternoon.

According to IMPD, around 5:30 p.m. on March 8, officers responded to the 5300 block of Turtle Creek East Drive, near U.S. 31 South and East Epler Avenue on a report of a dog bite.
