IMPD investigating fatal stabbing on northeast side of Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS — Police are investigating a fatal stabbing on the northeast side of Indianapolis.

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called to an apartment complex in the 4300 block of Shady View Drive around 10:30 p.m. on a report of a person stabbed. When officers arrived at the apartment building, they located a male victim with apparent stab wounds in a first-floor hallway.

Per IMPD, IEMS personnel pronounced the victim dead within 10 minutes of their arrival at the scene. It is unclear if police have identified any suspects or persons of interest at this point in their investigation of the stabbing.

Police reported that they are searching for security or doorbell cameras that may have captured the video of the stabbing. Detectives are also hoping to obtain the victim’s cell phone to see if it can provide any clues about stabbing…
