First Alert Forecast: Few thunderstorms tonight, cooler Sunday

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – As winds calm down this evening, rain and a few isolated thunderstorms will still be moving through our area into Sunday morning. As the system moves to the east, colder air will push in.

Sunday’s high temperature is likely to occur early in the morning. Temperatures are forecast to fall from the upper 50s at midnight to around 39 degrees at 7am on Sunday. Afternoon temperatures are only forecast to be in the low-to-mid 40s, and the little bit of leftover precipitation could include a few snowflakes.

Temperatures start to warm up for the start of next week. St. Patrick’s Day Monday, afternoon temperatures will be in the low 50s. Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon temperatures are forecast to be in the mid 60s!…
