On the near west side of Indianapolis, the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church experienced an act of vandalism that has left its congregation and community members disturbed. According to FOX59, explicit graffiti was sprawled across the church’s exterior yesterday. Obscene messages such as “F*** the lord” and “die, die, die” marred the structure’s walls. Pastor Ronald Covington expressed his dismay, stating, “It’s a level of disrespect. It’s dishonoring God and his house. This is the lord’s house. We’re tired of it, we’re saddened by it — this evil. Acts of evil, that’s basically what it is.”
