Illinois State Police are investigating a serious two-vehicle crash that occurred early this morning (Tuesday, March 18, 2025) on Interstate 74 near Fithian. Troopers said that westbound traffic on the interstate was being diverted around the crash site. Traffic was being detoured at mile post 200, then was being directed over the overpass to get back onto westbound Interstate 74. State Police were cautioning motorists to watch for slow or stopped vehicles. And they were advising motorists to find an alternate route to avoid the area. There were no other details immediately released.
