‘Stark reminder of the dangers of distracted driving’ | 1 airlifted to Indy hospital after I-69 crash between car and semi near Anderson

MADISON COUNTY, INDIANA, Ind — One person was airlifted to an Indianapolis hospital Thursday morning after a serious crash between a car and semi near Anderson.

Anderson Fire Fighters Local 1262 said in a social media post that the crash happened along northbound Interstate 69 at the 226 mile-marker, near the Scatterfield Road exit, the morning of March 27.

The group said the crash, which was “caused by cellphone use while driving,” involved a passenger car that rear-ended a semi tractor-trailer…
