INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Fire Department rescued a person who fell in Pogue’s Run Tunnel on Saturday.
Public police reporting systems indicate IFD crews were sent to the 1000 block of East New York Street around 7 p.m. to conduct a rope rescue. Firefighters at the scene told FOX59 and CBS4 a member of an urban spelunking group fell into Pogue’s Run Tunnel during an excursion.
IFD crews helped the spelunker out of the tunnel. Officials indicated that the spelunker was transported from the scene to a local hospital in stable condition.
