Tornado watch warning in central US as millions of Americans brace for severe weather

A Tornado Watch has been issued for several cities in the central US , lasting until about 8 p.m. on Sunday.

FOX59 reported that a band of thunderstorms is expected to move across Illinois to Indiana with damaging winds up to 60 to 70 miles per hour . Isolated tornadoes are possible for central Indiana and the Chicago area.

A tornado watch indicates tornadoes are possible in the area, while a tornado warning means a tornado has been sighted on the weather radar.

In Indiana, watches are in effect for multiple counties, including Bartholomew, Johnson, Shelby and Brown counties.
