Indianapolis police officers help deliver electric wheelchair to person in need

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A group of police officers has been highlighted for what Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department says is going above and beyond to help.

According to IMPD, someone needed an electric wheelchair delivered, but city paramedics couldn’t get it lifted into an ambulance.

The officers saw what was happening and used a “special utility vehicle” to help, ultimately getting the electric wheelchair taken to the person who needed it, according to a Facebook post on Thursday…
