FRANKLIN, Ind. — A Franklin business elected to stay open on Saturday despite floodwaters filling up its basement.

According to an Instagram post from Middle Davids Candles, the store flooded during this week’s storms, yet the owners decided to keep their doors open until 3 p.m. on Saturday.

“Yes, we flooded,” the post reads. “We are devastated but need to stay open for anyone willing to do some shopping to help support us.”

The store’s managers said they chose to close at 3 p.m., as that was when rain was expected to return to the Franklin area…
