INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Carmel has once again cemented its reputation as one of the best places to live in the United States, earning a spot on Livability.com ’s 2025 Top 100 Best Places to Live list , released this week. The annual ranking, now in its 12th year, celebrates small to mid-sized cities that stand out for affordability, economic opportunity and overall quality of life.
Carmel not only made the list but received the second-highest overall LivScore among more than 2,000 cities analyzed. It also claimed the top score in the housing and cost of living category—highlighting the city’s strong appeal during a time when affordability remains a top concern for Americans.
