Easter night storm timeline in central Indiana | Live Doppler 13 Weather Blog

INDIANAPOLIS —

Mainly dry and warm Easter Sunday

A warm front will slowly lift through today and spark an isolated shower at times. Otherwise, we’ll see a mix of sun and clouds with a nice warming trend for this Easter Sunday, with temperatures topping out near 70 degrees north, mid 70s around the metro and near 80 degrees for our southern counties.

Easter evening, Monday morning rain timeline

As the warm front stalls in northern Indiana, a few stray showers and thundershowers will be possible as we sit in the “warm sector” of this weather system.

A line of storms will develop along a cold front and move into the western tier of the state by 1-2 a.m. This will then track into the metro area around 3-4 a.m. and begin to exit the state to the east by daybreak Monday. An isolated strong storm can’t be ruled out, but severe weather is not anticipated. This will likely bring an additional 0.2 – 0.5 inches of rainfall.

Skies clear out Monday. Temperatures will hold steady in the 60s overnight then recover to near 70 degrees Monday afternoon.

Stretch of sunshine next week

Temperatures will continue to trend upward with a few quiet days Tuesday and Wednesday. Look for plenty of sunshine both days with highs in the low 70s Tuesday and into the upper 70s Wednesday…
