High-speed chase on US 31 ends with Stop Sticks, driver in custody

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. — A police chase through parts of Marshall County ended relatively peacefully Thursday afternoon and a 27-year-old Indianapolis man was taken into custody by Marshall County Sheriff’s Office Deputies.

Authorities say they were notified a stolen vehicle was traveling south on US 31 from US 6 in Marshall County around 2:29 p.m. on May 8.

“Marshall County officers located the stolen vehicle and attempted to perform a traffic stop in the area of US 31 and 16th Road,” the MCSO said. “The driver failed to stop and then began traveling north on US 31 from S.R. 10 at a high rate of speed.”…
