INDIANAPOLIS — After he looked at his office’s 2024 scorecard, Marion County Prosecutor Ryan Mears said his decision a couple years back to forego pursuing minor cases, like marijuana possession, in favor of focusing on violent crime has paid off.
”We had our highest conviction ever as far as related to homicide cases,” Mears said. “And we also saw tremendous success in the courtroom as it related to sex crimes cases.”
