Pet owners express gratitude for Purdue-engineered paw-sthetics

When passionate engineers itching to apply their book knowledge and real-world demand for life-improving devices collide, magic happens. Free and effective prosthetics for humans and pets alike are the signature of the Purdue Prosthetics Club.

Twice a week, the engineers of Purdue Prosthetics Club, formerly the 3D Printed Prosthetics Club, gather in a small closet in Beering to create big change.

Neel Wetzel, a senior in biomedical engineering, joined the club after discovering his preference for the client-based nature of the club over purely technical aspects of others. The desire to witness positive real-world impact stemming from his work fuels the same passion that initially convinced him to pursue biomedical engineering at Purdue.
