Kids open lemonade stand in support of Indianapolis family involved in deadly hit-and-run crash

INDIANAPOLIS — A group of Indianapolis children started a small business aimed at helping an Indianapolis family involved in a deadly hit-and-run crash.

On May 7, 4-year-old Alan Marcelo Salas-Garcia died in a crash on the near southeast side. Salas-Garcia’s father and a woman who was driving another car were critically injured.

The young organizers say they are family friends and wanted to do something supportive. So they opened a lemonade stand to raise money to help support Alan’s loved ones…
