Man sentenced for attacking victim in stairwell

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — An Indianapolis man will spend 40 years in prison after being convicted of brutally beating a man with a 2×4 in the stairwell of a Fountain Square apartment building in January 2024.

Brandon Eaton, 36, was convicted of attempted murder in April. An amended sentence filed Tuesday vacated Eaton’s additional convictions for two counts of aggravated battery.
