INDIANAPOLIS — Court documents have shed new details on a road rage shooting that occurred on I-465 on the east side of Indianapolis last week.
Previous reporting indicates that troopers with the Indiana State Police responded on May 22 to I-465 near the exit to I-70 after dispatch received reports that a person had been shot.
Authorities determined that the victim was travelling southbound on I-465 in his 2018 gray Toyota Tacoma. When troopers arrived on the scene, they located the victim’s vehicle on the right shoulder of the ramp to I-70 from I-465 southbound. The Tacoma had sustained damage to the rear driver’s door and window.
As part of their investigation, detectives spoke with the victim at IU Methodist Hospital. The victim told police that he was travelling westbound on Pendleton Pike before he started heading southbound onto I-465.
