Police arrest suspect in suspicious Greenwood fires

GREENWOOD, Ind. (WISH) — A 50-year-old homeless man was arrested in connection to fires that broke within minutes of one another Thursday morning at three apartment complexes off U.S. 31 in Greenwood, police said.

Ronnie B. Brasher, who is believed to have formerly lived in Carmel, was being held in the Johnson County jail in Franklin on three preliminary charges of arson, a mid-level felony.

A Greenwood Police Department news release issued Thursday afternoon said Greenwood Fire Department was called just after 8 a.m. Thursday to a fire in the 800 block of Parliament Place in the Westminster Apartments. Another fire was reported at 8:25 a.m. Thursday in the 900 block of Kings Mill Road in the Polo Run Apartments.
