Indiana Man Guns Down Several Family Members After Estranged Wife Tried to Take His House: ‘I Shot Them All’

An Indiana man who police say shot and killed three family members, including his wife, reportedly told authorities he was “not proud” of his actions.

Patrick J. Waite, 77, told detectives, “I shot them all. I’m certainly not proud of that fact,” reported the Courier & Press. In an affidavit quoted by the newspaper Waite is quoted as saying “I’m as guilty as guilty can be.”

Waite is charged with three counts of murder and one count of attempted murder. The murder victims were identified as Waite’s wife, Alma Waite, 61; his son in-law, Fernando Tapia Ramirez Sr., 39, and his mother in-law, Gloria Garcia Tapia, 81, the newspaper reported…
