GOP lawmaker calls on Gov. Braun to abolish death penalty

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – An Indiana lawmaker wants to see the state abolish the death penalty now that Gov. Mike Braun says executions are on pause.

Braun said he has no intention of purchasing more doses of pentobarbital, the drugs Indiana used to carry out two executions since December, citing the high cost of the drug at $300,000 per use and short shelf life of 90 days.
