An Indiana mother is in custody after police allege she left her four children home alone to spend time with her girlfriend.

Tenisha Echols, 27, is now charged with four felony counts of child neglect after her oldest child, an 8-year-old girl, called her grandmother to say she and three siblings — including a four-month-old infant — could not find their mother and needed help, according to a copy of a probable cause affidavit obtained by PEOPLE.
