Indiana becomes first state to permit tolling on all interstates

INDIANAPOLIS (WKRC) – Indiana has become the first sate to permit tolling on all interstates.

According to WMAQ-TV, Indiana Governor Mike Braun has signed a new bill that allows the state to collect tolls on any interstate within its borders.

House Bill 1461 states that the Indiana Department of Transportation can now request waivers from the Federal Highway Administration to implement tolls on any interstate highway without the need of additional legislature to approve such measures, the station reported…
