Fishers police free great horned owl from soccer net
FISHERS, Ind. (WISH) — Fishers Police Department on Thursday afternoon rescued a great horned owl trapped in a soccer net at Southeastern Elementary School.
Children playing at the school’s soccer field discovered the owl entangled in the net and called the police for assistance. Officers responded to the call to the the non-emergency line call and successfully freed the bird.
After being freed, the owl was taken to an exotic avian clinic in Indianapolis for a thorough examination, police said in a social media post. The condition of the owl after the examination has not been disclosed…
