1 dead and 2 injured after separate overnight shootings

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Three separate shootings across circle city show that Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers are still working around the clock to put a hold on weekend violence.

At 12:37 a.m., police were called to a person shot at the Shell gas station on the corner of East New York Street and North Sherman Drive. In this first shooting, IMPD reports one person was injured and is currently in critical condition.

Soon after, at 12:50 a.m., IMPD responded to two people shot on the near northeast side in the 1800 block of Roosevelt Avenue. One person who has not been identified was pronounced dead at the scene. A second victim is reported to be in stable condition…
