Woman arrested for carjacking
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A 45-year-old Indianapolis woman, who received suspended sentences after she was convicted of thefts in 2019 and 2024, has been arrested after trying to carjack a man Saturday at a gas station on the city’s northeast side, police say.
Latosha Hall was arrested on preliminary charges of auto theft, driving while suspended with a prior conviction, possession of paraphernalia and marijuana, resisting law enforcement, and battery on a public official. The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office will determine what charges to file in court.
Information from Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said the carjacking happened sometime before 5:15 p.m. Saturday at the Marathon gas station at East 46th Street and North Arlington Avenue. The man told police he’d been hit in the head with a glass bottle, and that his phone, wallet and keys had been taken in addition to his gold 2010 Chevrolet sedan.
