$2 million in funding to help Indiana food banks feed hungry Hoosiers

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Food banks in Indiana will receive a combined total of $2 million to help feed Hoosiers.

Feeding Indiana’s Hungry reports more than a million Hoosiers, including one in five children, experience food insecurity in 2023.

“More people than we realize are suffering from food insecurity,” Lt. Gov. Micah Beckwith, Indiana’s Secretary of Agriculture and Rural Development, said in a news release. “These donations support Hoosier families and individuals, and I’m grateful we are able to provide financial support to 11 local food banks.”…
