Central Indiana Crime Alert: Two Men Shot, Suspect Arrested Same Day in Indianapolis on July 22, 2025

Indianapolis, IN – Police responded swiftly to a shooting in southeast Indianapolis Tuesday, taking a suspect into custody within minutes after two men were found critically injured from gunshot wounds.

According to IMPD News, officers were dispatched to the 100 block of S. Randolph Street at approximately 5:50 p.m. Tuesday. Upon arrival, they located two adult male victims—one in the backyard with three apparent gunshot wounds and another near the front door of a residence with one gunshot wound. The suspect, identified as 49-year-old Paul Turner, was allegedly detained on scene and arrested within three minutes.

Authorities stated that medics transported both victims to Eskenazi Hospital, where they remain in critical condition.
