Sheriff says former employee used drone to drop bolts and jars of paint at Indiana trucking company facility

An Indiana man was arrested on felony charges for allegedly using a drone to drop objects like jars of paint, metal rings, and bolts at a trucking company facility.

On July 26, 2025, Chase A. Bowman, 31, was booked into the Jasper County Detention Center on the following charges:

  • Two Counts of Stalking (Level 5 Felony)
  • Criminal Recklessness (Level 6 Felony)
  • Criminal Mischief (Class A Misdemeanor)

According to the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO), Bowman’s arrest follows a complaint made on May 28, 2025, about a criminal mischief incident that occurred at a trucking company facility in Remington, Indiana, two days before.

“Vehicle damage was caused by bolts attached to fishing line and metal rings being dropped onto them. Surveillance footage from May 26, 2025, captured bolts striking a red GMC truck owned by an employee. Approximately 75 nails were also found scattered on the property,” JCSO said…
