INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — International Assistance Dog Week is celebrated annually from Aug. 3 to Aug. 7, and one Indiana-based service dog program hopes to highlight the transformative impact of service dogs trained with the help of incarcerated people.
The Indiana Canine Assistant Network trains service dogs to assist Indiana residents, including adults, children, and veterans with disabilities, helping them lead more independent lives.
