Second Arrest Made by IMPD in Fatal Overdose Case of Indianapolis Resident Casey Gentry

The IMPD Overdose Death Task Force (ODTF) has made a second arrest in connection to the February 2025 overdose death of 31-year-old Casey Gentry. Detectives arrested 31-year-old Zachary Daniels, now facing federal charges for his alleged role in providing the fatal drugs, according to IMPD News.

On the evening of February 23, IMPD officers responded to reports of an overdose in the 1400 block of N. Berwick Avenue, where they found Gentry.
