INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department detectives on Thursday helped an 18-year-old woman escape from a human trafficking situation, and arrested a suspect.
On Thursday, IMPD officers were dispatched to check a welfare investigation in the 9000 block of Wesleyan Road. Officers arrived and made contact with an 18-year-old woman.
Officers became concerned that the woman was involved in a potential human trafficking situation. She was transported to a local hospital while officers secured the building as a potential crime scene.
