Plea agreement reached for 2023 murder on Indy’s north side that highlighted bond system issues

INDIANAPOLIS — Prosecutors and defense attorneys have reached a plea agreement in a 2023 murder case on the north side of Indianapolis.

As part of the plea agreement, 22-year-old Jermerrell Hubbard, of Indianapolis, agreed to plead guilty to murder and attempted murder. At the time of sentencing, prosecutors will dismiss a charges of robbery resulting in serious bodily injury and murder.
