Experience Mexican culture at Indianapolis Mariachi and Folklore festival

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The sights, sounds, and colors of Mexican culture will fill the Indiana State Museum on Saturday as the Indianapolis Mariachi and Folklore Festival makes its return to central Indiana.

The festival, founded by Eduardo Luna of Arte Mexicano en Indiana, began four years ago at the Indianapolis Central Library. After a brief hiatus last year, the event is back with more music, dance, and cultural experiences for families to enjoy.

“This year, people can experience three mariachi acts, one solo artist, and about four folkloric dance groups,” Luna said. “There will also be community vendors, artisans, and schools that cater to the Latino community.”…
