From August 16 through August 30, 2024, Evansville officers will join forces with law enforcement across Indiana to crack down on impaired driving. Increased patrols, targeted enforcement, and public awareness campaigns are all part of this initiative.

Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over Campaign
The Evansville Police Department (EPD) has announced an increased focus on impaired driving enforcement ahead of Labor Day, working in partnership with the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute (ICJI). Their mission is clear: prevent impaired driving, protect families, and save lives.
Sgt. Nick Winsett of the Evansville Police Department emphasized the importance of community cooperation:
