MIAMI COUNTY, Ind. (WNDU) – Religious groups gathered at the Miami Correctional Facility on Monday afternoon for a time of prayer and song, and to peacefully protest what’s been nicknamed the “Speedway Slammer” in Indiana.
Earlier this month, the Department of Homeland Security announced a partnership with Indiana to expand ICE detention centers, designating one thousand beds to the Miami Correctional Facility that will host some of the “worst of the worst” illegal immigrants arrested by ICE.
