Man sentenced for burglary of Greenwood gun store

GREENWOOD, Ind. (WISH) — An Indianapolis man was sent to prison for robbing a gun store in 2024 with two juveniles.

The Johnson County Prosecutor’s Office says that Ivan Bautista, who was 18 at the time of the robbery, pled guilty to three felonies related to the break-in. “In imposing a sentence of two years in prison, the Court stated that despite Batista’s relatively minor criminal history, it considered both the amount of property Bautista stole and the fact that he stole firearms in sending him to prison,” a press release says.

In 2024, Bautista robbed U.S. Defense Solutions, a gun store at 5329 Mount Pleasant North St., with a 16- and 15-year-old. The trio stole the owners’ personal firearms and damaged the store and its equipment…
