INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — An Indianapolis woman has been charged with two counts of neglect of a dependent after her two missing children were found safe.
At 2:30 p.m. Thursday, an officer with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officer was dispatched to the 1700 block of North Colorado Avenue on a report of missing children. That is a residential area on the city’s east side. During the investigation, the children were found.
Upon further review, investigators determined that Jilda Cano, the initial caller and mother of the missing children, had left both a 10-year-old son, later identified as Thiago, and a 4-year-old son, later identified as Ariel, unattended for seven hours.
