INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Dozens of people filled Monument Circle today– not for a celebration, but to take a stand. After a recent appearance of masked marchers carrying Nazi flags downtown sparked outrage, the community came together in response.

Monument Circle is often a place for community gatherings- but on Monday, it became a stage for solidarity. Residents of all ages and backgrounds gathered to send a loud and clear message: Hate will not define this city.

Signs reading ‘Say no to Fascism, Nazis and KKK’ and ‘I hate Indiana Nazis’ lined the circle as chants echoed downtown. Community members say they are standing up for peace after a white nationalist group marched through the same spot earlier this summer…
